United States and Iran have failed to reach a peace agreement
After twenty-one grueling hours of face-to-face negotiations in Islamabad, Pakistan, Vice President JD Vance announced that the United States and Iran have failed to reach a peace agreement.
Vance, joined by special envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner, said the core sticking point was Iran’s refusal to commit to never developing a nuclear weapon. Iranian media countered that the American side made excessive demands that prevented a deal.
