The $45 Million Birthday Gift
In a time when Trump is taking from the poor and giving to the rich, his dream parade is coming to fruition. This is what you call hypocrisy in full display. Trump and his Republicans put DOGE together to ‘cut waste and save Americans billions of dollars.’ The truth is they are cutting important programs to accommodate the 1%.
Then there’s Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’ Even Elon Musk says he is “disappointed” by the price tag on the domestic policy bill which is backed by Trump. Musk expressed his disappointment in a recent interview. He stated this bill is hurting all the hard work he did with DOGE. This bill will, once again, take from the poor and give to the 1% rich.
Now, with all this waste, Trump’s birthday military parade scheduled for next month is projected to cost between $25 million and $45 million, according to an Army spokesperson speaking to CBS News. The estimated cost covers the entire celebration, including pre-parade events.
Set to take place in Washington, D.C., the parade is expected to feature more than 100 vehicles and thousands of service members, who will be accommodated in federal buildings. Around 50 helicopters may also participate, requiring significant coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration, the spokesperson noted.
The parade will include Abrams tanks, and in order to protect the city’s roadways from the 120,000-pound vehicles, the military plans to install metal plating along the route, a defense official confirmed.
The celebration is part of the Army’s 250th anniversary observance on June 14, which also happens to be President Trump’s 79th birthday. In other words, this is all about Trump and his need for constant attention and always wanting a military parade like other dictators.
For years, Trump and MAGA have constantly complained about the deficit. For decades this has been a talking point for the Republican party. Now, all of a sudden they have no issue that this ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ is going to add approximately $3.8 trillion to the federal deficit over the next decade. We can add another $45 million to that price tag for Donny’s little parade.
When are Americans going to stop this madness?
