A federal appeals court on Monday denied President-elect Donald Trump’s effort to overturn a jury’s verdict from last year, which found him liable for sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll in the mid-1990s.
The Second U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that “Trump has not demonstrated that the district court erred in any of the challenged rulings” and found he “has not carried his burden to show that any claimed error or combination of claimed errors affected his substantial rights as required to warrant a new trial.”
