China has executed 11 members of a Myanmar-based crime syndicate
A court in the eastern city of Wenzhou said the group had lured Chinese citizens into fraudulent online schemes run from compounds across the border. Authorities described the case as a major step in efforts to dismantle telecom fraud networks that have trapped thousands in debt. The executions follow months of joint raids and extraditions involving Chinese and Myanmar officials.
