The United States is warning Haiti’s political leaders
The United States is warning Haiti’s political leaders that Washington may respond if they try to cling to power.

Security Council that some members of Haiti’s transitional council appear to be maneuvering to extend their mandate past an early February deadline set to pave the way for elections. Diplomats described Haiti as being at a critical crossroads, with gangs controlling much of Port‑au‑Prince.
