A deepening clash is emerging between the United States and key European partners over President Trump’s push to acquire Greenland.

After meetings in Davos, European Union officials publicly called Trump’s tariff warning a mistake and questioned Washington’s reliability as an ally. Several NATO partners said economic pressure over Greenland could rupture transatlantic ties just as leaders are trying to manage Russia’s war in Ukraine and broader global instability.
