DailycastRELAY is coming

A new service is coming to the Dailycast Radio News family, It’s called DailycastRELAY. It’s an extended syndicated program service for radio stations looking to expand quality informational programming to fill those slow programming hours.

DailycastRELAY is a 24-hour live stream that radio station clients can connect to and relay to their listeners. This is great for expanding your program schedule while keeping your listeners informed and entertained.

Here’s how it works

Paste our live stream URL into spots where you want it to run in your stream schedule. During that time, you will be rebroadcasting our live stream to your listening audience. You can fill in 15-minutes, 30-minutes, an hour or however long you need your stream to run.

During that time, DailycastRELAY will run news headlines, news stories, extended updates, good news stories and much more. The format of the programming is like a news magazine program called “Dailycast”. Listeners will thinks it’s another part of your radio programming. It will be formatted for whenever you tune in, it will immediately get into the live content.

When it gets started, we will recommend that clients create a custom intro or use our template intro to kick off the show anytime you relay the live stream. You would just schedule the intro mp3 file before the live relay and it would sound like a part of the show’s beginning.

Top of the hour Newscasts:

You can also use this relay service as a part of your Top of The Hour News Update because the live stream always has top of the hour news. Because of stream buffering, this option usually will not play exactly at :00. It varies plus/minus 15-seconds based on relay connection. For example, you can turn on a live player on one browser and then turn on another live player on another browser and you’ll notice the live stream is playing differently by a few seconds.

DailycastRELAY is still in Beta

We’re still working on features, programming and formatting of this new feature. We’re still determining pricing and plans. We will more that likely release a beta version to work out kinks and get feedback. As corrections and improvements are made (based on usage and feedback), we will release a final version. The timeframe estimate is April 2024.
